How We Started?
PYG Lifesciences decided to start with manufacturing of “API INTERMEDIATES”
That though India is called the “PHARMA CAPITAL” of the world, still it imports around 90% of intermediates/raw materials from China and other countries.
Covid-19 has given Indian Co. an opportunity to become +1 country for India/Europe/US industry.
GOI is also assessing this and is hence promoting indigenous manufacturing of intermediates for API industry through various schemes and subsidies.

In 2019, driven by his immense commitment to a sustainable future, Siddhartha, guided by his father, Mr. Vinod Kumar Gupta, founded HYDROGEN GENTECH (P) LIMITED (HGPL). HGPL, with its state-of-the-art facilities and skilled team, is a leader in the Green Hydrogen Economy, offering comprehensive solutions in Industrial Gas systems utilizing diverse hydrogen technologies. At PYG Lifesciences, Siddhartha leverages his extensive experience and forward-thinking approach to drive innovation in specialty chemicals.

Priya Gupta leads the Business Development and Marketing team at PYG Lifesciences, where she plays a central role in shaping the company’s commercial strategy and market presence. Since 2021, she has been closely involved in building long-term relationships with API manufacturers, CDMOs, CMOs and procurement teams across India and global markets.
Her work is guided by a clear understanding of what the pharmaceutical industry values most at the intermediate stage. Intermediates influence the purity, efficiency and economics of every Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient, and Priya works alongside technical and operations teams to ensure that PYG’s offerings align with the practical needs of customers scaling their API pipelines. Under her leadership, PYG Lifesciences supports key therapeutic segments including anti diabetic, pain management, antipsychotic, antispasmodic and cardiovascular applications.
Priya brings a strong blend of commercial insight and communication expertise to her role. She holds a Master’s degree in New Media and Web Journalism from Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication and has over five years of experience in business development with Nuberg Engineering Ltd. and Nuberg GPD, where she worked closely with industrial and global clients across complex technology-driven projects.
At PYG Lifesciences, her focus remains on building an India-powered yet globally relevant commercial framework. She works to ensure that customers receive dependable supply, clear documentation and responsive technical support, helping pharmaceutical organisations reduce variability and strengthen API performance through disciplined intermediate sourcing.
